New Zealand shows how to succeed in every field

In New Zealand, the use of organic fertilisation on the large plains, ideal for agriculture, is unfeasible due to the large areas involved. The adoption of traditional fertilisation systems has not improved the situation and distribution times and costs remain high.
An effective solution has been provided by Griffin Ag-Air, a company that specialises in treatments from the sky. The idea of using aircrafts for this task comes from the systems used to tame forest fires. Instead of releasing water though, they discharge fertilisers, both in fluid and powder form.
Aircrafts need to quickly load on board the fertiliser without any spillage. A brilliant solution to this is provided by telescopic handlers with a special loading bucket and featuring the boom side-shift for maximum operating accuracy. This new distribution method – much quicker and effective than the traditional ones and with significantly lower operating costs - has become widely used on the island.
The 14 aircrafts currently devoted to this activity make New Zealand the most advanced country in this field. The use of Merlo telescopic handlers in New Zealand is not limited to this task. Our machines have proven to be a winning solution in the building and agricultural sectors alike, thanks to their multifunctional and innovative nature.
